The Tastee Freez Franchise Program

Tastee Freez is ready to grow an exciting and energetic concept. Tastee Freez still offers the traditional great tasting treats and grilled items that made us famous with state-of-the-art equipment and new brand imaging. Now is the time to join the Tastee Freez family!

For a soft serve and full food menu concept the initial 20 year franchise fee is $20,000. For a soft serve menu concept only the initial 20 year franchise fee is $10,000. The franchise service fee (royalty) is 5% of the Franchisee's gross monthly sales, and the minimum advertising commitment is 4% for local advertising and 1% of sales to the National Advertising Fund. The capital requirements are net worth $600,000 and liquid $250,000.

For Franchisees who have new Tastee Freez sites approved prior to April 19, 2012, the fees above will only be half of the stated initial franchise fee and franchise service fees are substantially reduced the first four years, as follows: 1% the first year, increasing one percentage point per year to reach 5% from fifth year forward.

This special offer does not apply to restaurant sites selected in Washington, DC, Delaware, Greater Chicago, and parts of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Ask your Tastee Freez franchise sales person to determine if your site is in the excluded areas.

The Franchisee, or a designated General Manager, must complete a training program. Training fees apply, up to $3,500. Ongoing training and support are provided thereafter.

In addition to developing your own restaurant plan, Franchisees may choose from two building prototype designs with land-size requirements from approximately 15,000 square feet to 25,000 square feet. Building and equipment packages range from approximately $190,000 to $575,000. (Tastee Freez does not provide financing for franchise development.)

The specifics above apply to those franchises sold by TF,LLC. There are three territorial franchise holders in the United States that have implemented some different specifics for the sale and operation of a Tastee Freez franchise within their geographical area.
